Tips for trips

Thanks to its location our house is an ideal base for expeditions to close and far environs – the Lower Tatras, High Tatras, Western Tatras, and the Roháče Mountains. In the direction to the south within a close distance there are two Demänovské Caves: the Liberty Cave of Demänová and the Ice Cave of Demänová. Several kilometres further you will find the Jasná Resort, which is a paradise for skiers and snowboardists in winter, and in summer it is a good starting point for hiking trips to Chopok, Ďumbier and other hills and peaks of the Lower Tatras (see the pictures in the gallery). So-called Karkulkina trasa (which is Slovak for The Path of the Little Red Riding Hood) to Mount Chopok will make the trip more fun for children. They can solve various riddles and get some prizes on their way up the hill. Next to the ski-tow there is a rope park Tarzania.

If you travel in the opposite direction, to the North, you can choose from three different places to bath and swim: spa Lúčky, aquapark Tatralandia and spa Bešeňová. The Archeological Open-Air Museum Havránok next to the Liptovská mara water reservoire and open-air Museum of the Liptov Village in Pribylina offer historical-cultural experience. Now you are already at the foot of the High and Western Tatras, so why not use this opportunity for a hike to the Kriváň, Rysy, Baranec, Plačlivô, for walks in the Žiarska, Roháčska, Furkotská, Mlynická valleys or just in the woods and forests? (see the pictures in the gallery)

Among the shorter and not so demanding trips there are those up the Kvačianska valley where you can find an exceptional reconstructed old mill, and up the Prosiecka valley with interesting stone massives and caves formed by water.

We will be glad to help you with planning your trips.
